Default Engine hiccup/lunging forward. What does it mean?

I was driving using the auto-stick yesterday, and I felt the car hiccuping and lunging forward when I was in 2nd gear. After a few minutes, I felt it happening in 3rd gear as well. I took it out of autostick and just put it in drive, it was okay for a few minutes. Then, I was sitting at a red light, and I could feel the engine lunging while I was stopped. Almost like if I hadn't had my foot hard on the brake, it would have just jumped forward.

Anyone experience something like this before? I don't necessarily think it's an autostick issue, but seemed to be more frequent when I was using the autostick. I didn't get any warning lights go on in the dash, though.

And this morning, on my drive in to work, it happened once in 45 minutes, where yesterday it happened like 9-10 times in a half hour.

Take it to the dealer? [:I]
This sucks!

All of us are hoping that the new ECU and larger injectors (S1) will take care of a few of the idiosyncratic hiccups and flat spots that occur in the turbo. Probably why DC decided to go with the larger injectors in 2004.

My GT 5-speed has started doing the same thing at around 5000 miles. I've re-gapped the plugs to .40, Checked for any loose vacuum lines, use the same brand (and octane) of gas, but it has made little difference. [xx(] There seems to be no pattern to it either. One day all is good, the next it's bucking left and right. I'm just living with it now until I order a Stage1 kit which will hopefully fix it!

Yobiebs, Check the boost gauge & see if it is still working like it was before the issue. Maybe the boost gauge connection came off and there is a vacum leak. The only place that it might come off is at the connection on the mini vacum/Boost manifold. We secured it with a tywrap, but maybe it came loose. Give me a call & we can talk about it.
