In 2003, Chrysler came out with the PT Cruiser GT. It had the 220 hp 2.4 L turbo charged engine. In 2004 Chrysler came out with the 180 hp turbo charged 2.4 L engine which was available on non GT (touring and Limited editions???) PT's.
The 180 hp turbos can run on regular gas, as opposed to the Gt's which Chrysler recommends premium fuel. The only difference between the 2 engines is the computer programming. The 2004 GT's were labeled "High Output" Good luck with your new GT. srg |

215 hp for the '03 GT. I had one and modded it up to 280 hp.
Your boost will be affected by colder weather. Where stock boost is 13 psi when it is colder you'll boost only 10-11. Also check for boost leaks. You can zip tie all vaccuum hoses and put t-bolt clamps on intercooler hoses and the hose that runs from the airbox to the turbo, turbo side. Both my '03 GT and my '05 SRT-4 had boost leaks straight from the factory.
