yes, a lot of guys get leaks there for various reasons. The 'bitch bolt" that you can't really get to makes it hard to torque the plate properly. Some have found that the plate they got was not entirely flat.
If you think you have a problem I would try a little gasket seal to the plate and retorque it. You might want to do a leak test on the intake and see if there is a problem first.
