I'd just like to add my two cents...I sure hope Jim is still building his AMX intakes. HE IS GREAT, HIS SERVICE IS TERRIFIC AND THE PERFORMANCE IS KICK-***! I'm so glad the members turned me on to him...one of my first AND BEST mods!

Underdrive pulleys reduce coolant flow, maybe not important if you drive a lot of short freeway, but long hot trips, or multiple short hard trips will stress the cooling system (water cooled Turbo bearings). Your choice though.
Please explain this statement!?
The water pump is driven by the crank sprocket, not the crank pulley. The crank continues to turn at the same speed, as does the crank sprocket that drives the water pump, thus coolant flow is not effected. The crank pulley will drive the alternater, ps pump, and a/c compressor. The UDP will replace the crank pulley.

I put a Borla #14927 (2 1/2 inch)dual exhaust on my GT. I ran the 1/4 mile before and after and the car did not get any faster,I used a weather correction factor and the stock autostick went 15.50s at 89.55 mph.But the back of the car looks much faster.OLDHEAD

The cooling issue is huge to me. My car is used quite often on the highway. Cooking the motor for a couple of ponies would be silly.
Sorry, this issue of cooling is different in the PT. Read the new thread. My Bad advice in this issue.

I amx1397 am on vacation in Italy will return to Fla. at the end of Aug and i will be making the AMX1397 INTAKE, if you can't or don't want to wait, their are a few intakes out there now and they all work, not all are cold air,,the amx1397 is the best( just ask me) and don't forget if you use my air duct, foglite to airfilter leave about 1" air gap for water. The airraid I think is the second best, don't know about the k&n (high Price).
everyone have a nice summer and thanks to all of you for you information, and your help. jim amx1397@aol.com
