hi guy and gals my question is my buddy tells me u loose some turbo power when u use a blowoffvalve,i have also heard u extend the life of your turbo,so who is right? i have allready installed a bov and love the sound.

Your buddy is wrong. You need a blow off valve/surge valve to release the back pressure on the turbo. Without it your turbo wouldn't last very long. Now there are ways to get your turbo to spool up faster after the pressure is released. That will get you to your power faster and help eliminate turbo lag.
