Default Stainless steel resonator vs performance muffler

Modern Performance is listing a new resonator that should fit the GT. I was thinking of getting this instead of a performance muffler. I know some of the members have removed their mufflers and have a straight pipe. What do you think?

Make sure that you can get the hangers to fit, but they do look good!

My BTG exhaust has one 36" strait through SS resonator and two tip resonators. The system has a good sound, but very little boom or inside resonance.

I'm not sure that these Modern Performance resonators won't be pretty loud.

Now this is a twist from my other thread. So instead of replacing the muffler people have been yanking the muffler completely and or replacing with a resonator? Is it quiet enough? Here in Tally as in most places the Honda crowd cruise all day w/ their "fart cans" (found that phrase at this forum-too cool) and the police say little. If it is comparible to that racket then I am all for it

I think that the issue of personal comfort in a do-it-yourself system would be the most important. Enough sound to get that nice rumble, but still able to cary on a conversation in the car with the windows up.

i can carry a conversation with my straight pipes, but when you get on it you can definitely hear it coming. Magnaflow makes a nice drag series muffler (if you can call it that), it's the size of a rez w/a straight through design. I had them on my '01 N/A cruiser.
