Default Does your GT. do what mine does ?

My GT. shifts at 5700 rpms. in drive with throttle wide open, same thing in autostick (Locked in 1st. gear),What good is autostick ? Also my Autometer air/fuel gauge bounces from lean to the high part of stoich as i drive and idle, when i get on it it goes to the low part of rich and as i wind it out it drops to the low part of lean(almost off the gauge) this sounds real bad to me,but it runs good and has a lot of power OLDHEAD

i noticed about that same shift rpm as you
i do feel the computer sittings on the shift points are a bit on the steep rpm side of things

just about the time my teeth grit it decides to shift

Is the O2 sensor installed for the A/F gauge a heated one?

If not, it is responding to both the differences in heat and O2 content.

I am hoping that someone will offer a gauge to make use of the stock O2 sensor, which should give more stable readings. The heated sensors seem to give more stable outputs, from what I have been reading on the forums...

Here is a good thread on the autostick. It may explain some on the shift points under different driving conditions.

My GT shifts right at redline during WOT. It's like hitting the number 6 causes the shift to occur.

Mine shifts around 5400 in D@WOT, and right on th 6k in Autostick mode@WOT.
The autostick shiftpoint of 6k is the better of the 2 for acceleration as shifting at or around peak hp drops you outta the sweet spot.
