Pt Cruiser GT Noooobie

Hi everyone. I'm new to the whole 'car forum'' but I could not resist checking out this forum, I bought a 2005 Pt Cruiser Gt HO back in Feb and I love it like no other. I have been cruisin the threads for a couple of days and have learned alot about them. I dont plan adding to much to it as far as performance due to it being the ''family'' car. Only things I plan for it is exhaust, intake, bov, and maybe stage 1 in the future. I was going to start with the exhaust and add or delete the muffler and run a 3'' dp with a high flow cat. I dont want it loud loud but enough to make people think what the crap im running under there. I was actaully thinking about running a dynomax bullet muffler or just simply no muffler with a vibrant resonator. That or a straight through glasspack routed off to the side for show....pretty much I'm looking for a mean sound that does not sound like your run of the mill wannabe turbo honda. Any and all advice would mean a great deal. Thanks. PS I'll up load pictures of it soon. Its cream white with full chrome trim and chrome 17'' rims

Once the mod bug bites................A 3" dp w/highflow cat won't do much without changing the stock o2 housing and stock catback exhaust. You'll still have restrictions. If you decide to go with a muffler make sure it is flow through.

I have decided just to hack off the muffler and run a vibrant resonator in its place to tone things down a bit. Maybe one day the wifey will understand my obsession with speed and sound........one day!
