After installing stage 1 a VERY noticeable difference. Best mod so far. Go for the Stage 1 and keep your old module. You can always sell a used stage 1 for about 50% of cost if you sell the car.
Thanks for the info!!
Sounds like I need to start saving my money before they quit making it!!!!

FYI: I went ahead and put my Mopar BOV on the car tonight. Everyone was right, that third bolt right next to the oil line for the turbo is a *&$(@ to put on!!!!!!!

First impression: I don't know if I like it or not, it sounds cool when you shift when you are in boost, but I can see where it would get annoying real quick for everyday driving. It blows off a lot more often that I thought it would. It is definetly loud enough to get people's attention.

I'm going to hold off installing mine. I want to hear what you think after a month or so.

I was only able to take the car for a short test drive last night after I put the BOV on (11:00 at night)

I drove the DC3 to work today to get a better idea of what the BOV will sound like. I don't know if I am getting used to the power of the car, or if I have a little boost leak from the BOV. It still pulls strong, but it didn't seem as strong to me this morning?!?!? Hopefully I will get my boost gauge soon and get it hooked up to see how many lbs. of boost I am getting. That should tell me if I am getting boost leak or not.

Not always the case. You could have small leak(s) and the gauge will read pretty normal, but you'll be losing power all the same. Do a boost leak test. A leak tester is pretty easy to make and use. Clamp it on the end of the turbo, put 18 psi in the system and look/listen for leaks. Heres a pic of the tester I made.

Awesome. Thanks for the information. I will have to build one of those and test it. I would almost bet it is leaking boost around that BOV.

I will say that having the BOV is kinda fun!!

Just driving to work, out to lunch, and back home I got TONS of looks.

When I was going to McDonalds for lunch I made it blow off in the parking lot and a younger guy I work with about fell out of his Jeep trying to look to see where the "sound" came from

I want the oposite, as little waste gate noise as possible, my car's maual so with the airbox mods and amx intake I like the sharpness in response the mods give, but I can hear it 2 out of 3 gear changes.

Can you use a foam sock or something to damp the air out of the waste gate and quieten it down without putting all the restriction back?

Honestly, I still haven't decided if I like it or not. I DO NOT like how long it stays open!! I am definetly loosing performace with it on right now. If I can't get my boost leak to seal here real soon I am going to take it back off and leave it off!!! I just don't want to fight that stupid third bolt by the oil line again and again!!

After I did the airbox mods and upgraded the charge pipe, the car pulled strong all the way up the RPM range. Now, with the boost leak, it obviously doesn't have the grunt it used to.
I liked how you could hear the stock surge valve when you were boosting hard, but you couldn't hear anything with normal driving.

One more quick question. I seen where the stage 1 computer comes "optimized" for the mopar BOV. What exactly does that mean?
