You will hear the bov a lot more if you have a stick because you let off of the gas a lot more. With the auto you don't tend to let off of the gas between shifts so you won't hear it as often.

I was wondering the same thing about the noise. My Stage 1 came in the mail last week and in the box was the Mopar BOV at no charge. The Stage 1 is installed in my DC3 #0263 (Auto/trans) and I can't make up my mind to install the BOV or not. The Stage 1 is a smokin mod. The BOV, just noise?
Other mods: Plastic intake, all amx hard pipes, Hot pipe (turbo to IC) oil modifier, airbox mod W/K&N, Magnacore wires & Eibach rear springs |

What did your sheet say that came with the kit? 235 hp at the crank, or at the wheels? I know the '05 or newer get 235 hp at the wheels with the Stage 1 upgrade. The '03's only get 235 hp at the crank. ( BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!)

I just finished doing the airbox mods (removed white silencer, cut snorkel in bottom of airbox), put in a K&N, and installed my custom made 3" charge pipe. I took "her" for a spin and I can tell a little bit of a difference. The boost seems to come in smoother and stronger. I can actually hear the stock surge valve (BOV) quite well now!! Whoo-hoo!!
![]() I don't know if I want to put the Mopar BOV on now?!?!?! Anyone know how much louder it would be if I put the Mopar BOV on??

Don't look at it on the overall level. You actually get more power throughout the powerband. A Stage 1 car will smoke a stock GT.

The information sheet with the stage 1 for my DC3 says 235 hp @ the crank. I had installed the plastic manifold (Cost about $100) with a claimed increase of 8 to 10 hp and experienced a minor increase in the seat of the pants dyno. After installing stage 1 a VERY noticeable difference. Best mod so far. Go for the Stage 1 and keep your old module. You can always sell a used stage 1 for about 50% of cost if you sell the car.
