I just did my mounts (inserts) and I can honesly say it's like driving a whole different car. I want to kick myself for waiting two months to do it. Oh well, 8 bolts and 1 hour later I was a happy camper.

Ok, it seems that the third mount that the mechanic says he needs to pull the engine for is the drivetrain mount. Does this wear? or is he just wanting to do all three just because that's what Chrysler says to do?
(I have ordered the Deyeme upper and lower mounts.)

I dont think that one is broken. Usually its the one visible upper mount on the passenger side, and the one thats inside the frame rail. The other one is usually pretty solid.

Are we talking about the tranny mount (driverside) cause you don't pull the engine to change it? If he is talking about the one at the firewall then that's strange cause I've never heard of one breaking.

Im talking about the two that normally break. The one up top you can clearly see when you open the hood on the passenger side, and then the one underneath on the passenger side that actually sits inside the frame, but can be gotten to by simply pulling the car up on ramps and jacking it up.

The other two, the firewall and drivers side mounts I havent heard of anyone with those broken.

HiYa, I found my top mount is bad for sure. Can't tell so easy on the lower. Change them both I guess $$$ Will the shift in engine position cause a noise from the cv / tripod joints? Thx, Bill
