I use the 87 octane gas. My car has about 24,000 miles on it. My warranty on it is up to 36,000 or a year. I'm trying to make sure if there is anything seriously wrong with this car, that I can get it fixed BEFORE the warranty expires. I believe the dealership is not telling me what's wrong, because, they are trying to wait for the warranty to expire. Everything else about my car I absolutely love. My car is so nice looking and I love the way it handles the turns. But, I'm fearful that something is seriously wrong. Yet, I can't trust the people who sold the car to give me any service reports. Any suggestions?

Have you owned a car with an electric radiator fan before? The fan comes on an off independently of other factors. There is no old style fan that is attached directly to the front of the engine and driven by pulleys like in the old days. In some cars, the fan runs all the time you have A/C on, but only if a thermostat requires at other times. Idling, very slow traffic or very spirited driving causes the temperature to rise just enough to activate the fan, which continues to run as you pull into a parking lot for a while. SOME other cars, the fan even continues to run after the engine is shut down, even with the key off. It seems you might be mistaking the cabin a/c fan as having any direct noise link to the cooling fan. They're unrelated in terms of "noise." I have trained my wife and kids to SIT THERE and wait with the engine idling and the a/c OFF until the fan stops as a hedge against superheated turbo bearing oil coking, a situation where the oil COOKS inside the turbo bearing as the super high RPM turbine continues to spin a while after high use. If you read the owners manual, 2006 convertible, page 282-283 you'll see they recommend you idle for a cool down period. This is to keep the oil pump pushing oil thru and the cooling system operating; hence the sound of the electric radiator fan. ALSO, you don't specify GT turbo or the 180 hp "turbo lite" - for the GT turbo, 91 octane gas is required.
