What does this mean? p 1187 is this really bad? I was just about to take my Grandma to the beachany help would be really great.

I think P1187 is over boost? Usually part throttle over boost. Means you made more than X psi (I can't remember the number. 5 psi maybe?) without being at WOT (Wide Open Throttle - foot to the floor) Disconnect your negative battery terminal and it will clear the code. See if it happens again. Have you altered the wastegate? Do you have a boost controller?

crap I was wrong. P1187 EOT Sensor Ckt. Low Voltage. Oxygen sensory might be cooked. Check your exhaust near the cat.

I disconnected and reconnected the negative battery cable. So far, the engine light seems to stay off while driving. Hopefully this solved the problem. Thanks.
