Default custom exhaust

I have an exhaust specialist working over my system. I asked him for a 2.5" system. After the stock cat there is a bottle neck where DC welded the straight pipe right to the base of the cat. He is going to remove the choke there and weld a 2.5" pipe right to the cat neck. I wanted to keep the dual tips, so he is removing the spare and rack and mounting a flowmaster dual outlet in that space with 2.5 pipes on exit with 2.5" tips. If it is too noisy, I can add a resonator down the main shaft. I don't have stage one and don't see pulling my cruiser beyond stage2. I also don't have MBC right now, although it is a possibility. Thoughts?

I noticed a very nice side effect of my BTG dual exhaust....my mileage went up to about 26-27 on long trips and around town up by almost 5mpg.

i called him this am, said everything is in except the tips (UPS mix-up) said sounds real nice even without the tips on...which is good if i don't need a resonator. I'll have to find a dyno around here.

HEY KIRBY/ HOW do you like your BTG Exhaust?. I had a little trouble getting my pipies to line up, but now its fine. I had to cut the left pipe at the weld because it was too far out.(took 1/2 inche off) Adjustments up and down or right to left are easy, but front to back, their was NO play. Did you tail pipes have the inserts inside the resonators? Mine did, and earingboy suggested I take them out. Sounds much deeper and less restrictive. Everyone on my block knows when I come down the street, even my wife when she is in the basement. I guess even old kids never grow up.
