Default intake manifold???

i have a question about the gt vs. regular pt. i have been able to score the factory turbo system (oil lines, header, turbo, intercooler, and all tubing). my only this is the intake manifold that wrapps over the top of the engine and goes under neath. is it possible to use the a regular pt's intake manifold? i know that the gt's throttle does curve so that the intercooler hooks up to it.

if not where can i purchase the intake manifold(the one connected to the throttle and the other half that goes underneath into the engine?

Are you attempting to install the turbo on a factory N/A engine? There are probably a few more things you will need such as the pcm. Also the factory turbo engine is not exactly the same as the N/A engine, example the extra oilers on the turbo. I would do a lot of research before attempting this.

The intake manifold you are referring to is the intercooler piping. N/A PT pipe will not work.

Agree w/KLCruiser.
The turbo engine has stronger connecting rods than the N/A - plus other changes - you can't just slap on the external turbo parts - and there is also the engine computer (PCM) and controls...

i understand the oilers and obviously a new computer...so would i be better off just buying gt motor off ebay. because it sounds like i'd spend just as much trying to fabricate itmy motor.

I'd buy a gt motor. The na motor is weak.

And you'll still need the GT PCM. Stage 1 PCM would be even better.
