Default Radiator component - HELP

sorry for another thread. But I tried logging in many times and could not.

Does anyone know what the gold small cylindar at close to the radiator cap is?

I know I am describing it horribly....

It's below the radiator cap, and it is a 3 inch (maybe) thing that sticks out. There is a gold thing that sticks out but it almost looks like there should be a hose connected to it.

Can anyone tell me if there should be something on it, or what it is?

okay here's a crummy image. don't mind my hand and flashlight in the corner. The thing I'm wondering about is the gold stem thing. the radiator cap is the silver thing top left

Just a guess but I think it's the bleed valve to let air out of the system....
