Default idle turbo before shut down?

does my cruiser need to run for a period of time before shutting it down to cool the turbo, some other boards i belong to (wrx) say they must cool the turbo down.

nothing in manual states this though.

Manual does state it. Turbo Timers are available so you dont have to sit there and wait. I have a Blitz TT available if youre interested. $90

Punch,

There is a turbo specific manual. The following info. should be in the manual and / or on one of the yellow addendum sheets included with your manual and warranty guide.

TURBOCHARGER "COOL DOWN" CHART

Driving Conditions Idle Time (in minutes) Before Shut Down

Normal Driving Not required.
Aggressive Driving or Heavily Loaded 3
Trailer Tow 5

I didn't have any yellow sheets or updates to my manual either. Maybe DC thinks it's so cold in Canada we don't need to cool ours down... After all I only drive when I need to hunt under the ice for food....

Seriously though, this is important. My Computstar Alarm has a Turbo timer built into it which I use all the time. Not allowing the turbo to cool can severly shorten its life.
