do a boost leak test.

go to home depo or lowes and get a 2in rubber plumming cap. then go to autozone and pick up a valve stem. make a small hole in the cap and push the valve stem though and then take off you intake pipe and put it on the turbo and fill the system with air. where ever you hear air leaking from, use a squart bottle with soap and water to pin point the leak then fix it with either zip tie or tighten a clamp.

I have an 06 PT GT with 55k. I took it for various small problems including the turbo sometimes not seeming to work. The dealer called me and said they have to replace the turbo because the pressure relief (pop off valve) is bad. They told me the turbo spools up but no real boost. Im glad I bought the extended warranty!

BTW.....if u have a turbo......use synthetic motor oil and change the oil every 3000 miles.

Actually, using synthetic oil you can go 6k miles between changes. 3k miles is a waste, though some still do it. Dealer recommended 6k miles and I've been doing that with my turbo cars with no problem and my cars aren't exactly stock.

Your not stock but I would shorten that interval if you are track pounding the car back to a 3k interval or anytime you suspect an issue.. Or at least change the filter at the 3K intervals and just top it off like BMW does..

My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life.
