Default Crap, crap, crap

Ok, here's the sitrep. originally i hada guy run a wire tap for the twopowered gauges i have (EGT and boost/vac)
he tapped into #10 on the backside of the panel. this is a 10A fuse for cluster rke skim. while this is good for the boost gauge, when the car got hotter, too much amperage would be drawn and the egt needle would start to flicker. so i rewired using the add a fuse. i re attached the boost gauge wire to #10 and that works fine. prob is that i am having a hard time finding a 10A fuse that i can hook the egt wire for. i tried #13, but everytime i open a window or use the blinker the needle freaks out. I tried #6 but am nervous cause i don't kow what it does.
What have other people done and what what are my alternatives.
Power for both gauges comes from the 12v accessory in the dash below the radio.
thx...[xx(]

It looks like Fuse 6 is for heated seats, and rear defrost. If it is a 10 amp. Looks like it is a wt wire. If you want I can send you the wiring picture for fuse 6, provide a e-mail addy.

k, really frustrated that i can't get 2 gauges to behave.
rewired the light power wire for the pyrometer to the orange wire in the a-pillar. left the boost gauge bulb wired as is. lights both work, but the damn needle still flickers when all the headlights and foglamps are on or oddly when i press the brake pedal. i tried hooking the add a fuse (10A) to every other 10A fuse in the panel and keep getting the same effect. the only place it does not do it is with the headlights, but i'd have to have em on to power the gauge. Dalite, rob anyone help me out here. the grounds are good and the boost gauge give me no trouble. I am thinking it is the gauge itself....[xx(]

Rob,
Does this lend some credibility to the guys that specifically ground each plug, and run various other engine grounding wires?
