HELP: Turbo Bearing Problem

My daughter purchased a 2003 PT Dream Crusier from a Dodge dealer. It had about 80,000 miles on it at time of purchase. It now has 100,000 miles. She financed it through the dealer and still owes about $3000 on the car. A noise occured at the rear of the engine so she took it to a local shop and was told that the turbo bearing was blown. Any information , suggestions and help as to what this is all about and possible cost would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry your first post is bad news.
Was synthetic oil used? It should be with a turbo.
I have some more bad news - at 100,000 muiles, it needs a new timing belt (and water pump and tensioner) as well.
