Default Cold Air Intake Sound

I am looking to purchase the K&N Typhoon Air Intake System and was browsing the forums here to see what people had to say about it.

I noticed that some people liked the sound of it and others didn't so I was curious if anyone had an audio clip of a PT with one equipped. That would be a great help for me to decide on getting one.

I have also searched the web and haven't been able to find a sound clip at all.

Thanks

I have a 2003 GT. I know how a K&N filter sounds on a Ram but I'm sure that it won't sound quite like that on a four banger. I am just kinds curious what it will sound like.

i have an AFE "cold" air intake kit on my gt. not sure if it will sound the same, but probably similar. going to hear it suck in air when accelerating and then probably a whosh and flutter when you let off. Sorry, don't have a video. idk, i like the sound

Unclip the top of your airbox, wrap a towel around the gap to keep crap from getting in, and take a test drive - that's what it'll sound like.

I have had 3 PT's and have put AiRaid intakes on all. I like the sound they make.

I am selling my Typhoon kit if you're interested. I also have a video on youtube with the Typhoon installed and you can hear it there...

My Video

The reason I'm selling it is it's a polished stainless finish, everything else under my hood is brushed stainless, blue or black, so I'm trading out for something else I guess. Right now I've got the modified factory airbox in... one thing is she runs like a scalded ape with that thing in. My camera was sitting on a 12" tall Gorillapod, 6 feet behind the car and the exhaust almost knocked it over...lol

If you're interested, let me know and I'll post some pics of it, it's off the car now...

One pic of it installed, and yes, the car was VERY dirty, obviously wasn't a show weekend...

How much of a performance gain have you guys noticed with the K&N or other cold air kit on a non-turbo Cruiser?

--oops....sorry. I see that this is the turbo forum. Sorry about that. I'll move this question to the appropriate place.
