Maybe this has been covered, BUT?? When in autostick and not running to red line, but just pulling strong and hitting the shifter to go up through the gears, anyone else find that even thought you smaked the shifter into fourth it does not shift when you told it to. I have to push the shifter again and sometimes let off the gas and hit it again to get it to go into fourth. If I put it in auto stick and let the computor shift at WOT it works fine.

So far, mine has always shifted when I moved the shifter. Sometimes there is a very short, but noticeable delay but I have never had to push the shifter a second time to get it to shift.
There was a post on one of the forum several months ago by someone who really had to slam the heck out of the shifter to get it to shift. The dealer had to adjust or replace (I can't remember which) the shifter to get it to work properly.

I thought it was me not hitting it hard enough. But it has done it more than once and I can get it to do it when I am trying to. Some times if I stay on the gas it will not shift. Guess it's a trip to the dealer. I hate those guys driving my car.

Mine does the same thing, won't go into fourth on the first hit. I was wondering if the PCM may have a problem, I heard the "high rev miss" problem also made the shifting smoother in the Auto.
I'm going to the Dealer but want to get it all done at the same time (driver window loud, steering grind,?PCM?), I'm just waiting for some more chrome to fall off the wheels before I go in. LOL.

I noticed that with mine also, but it is only under heavy acceleration that the AutoStick will not shift into fourth. I assume that is because you do not want to shift into overdrive under a heavy load when you need torque. Ease up on the throttle (demand less torque) and then you can shift. It is kind of annoying because it seems to automatically throttle down going from 2nd to 3rd, but does not behave the same way from 3rd to 4th. This is just my unqualified guess, and still getting the feel for the new ride. |

I would suspect a problem. I rarely shift though. Ive got the mph limit figured out so the only reason I use autostick is to downshift
