when the ignition switch is on and the motor is off the guage should read ( 0psi ) and when the car is gunning at idle it should read a vacume. my gauge takes its reading from the large plastic line going to the top of the throttle body. hope this helps

Is it set at 20psi all the time? Its should vaccuum at -20 or so when you start the car. Otherwise the guage may be broken. If its the phantom series it should be at zero when not installed.

What the heck is that. No vaccuum? Im so lost. Anyways when the car is off you should definetly be reading zero. Did the gauge come like that? Set at 5 I mean?
