When I took mine off I noticed that the area above it was melted and it also moved to the left. I have the stock muffler back on now with a 2.5" cat to muffler tail pipe and I'm happy. The noise was a tad bit too much for me.

GTSteve, attached are the pics that I promised. On the bottom 2 screws, I used Small stainless nuts & bolts to help to shape the facia to the cutout. As you can see from thr pics the bottom of the cutout is a little wider than the stainless piece. I centered it, and attached the bottom as mentiones above. If you look real close, you can see the slight desparity in size. Did not come out too bad at all, and I needed them because the duals exit fairly close to the facia. Any questions give me an e-mail or a call.....

Thanks for all the replies folks, that helps alot.

I'd read the same thing at PT-Tuning about it not fitting the GT but it sounds like we can make it work.

Mine also seems to rest a little closer on the left hand side so i may try adding a spacer between the hanger and the stop on the bar to see if I can set it straight.

Definately gonna go ahead and get the trim piece though. As much as I'd wanted to keep the chrome to a minimum (wanted a blacked out look for the most part) I'd rather have go with the trim piece than have my bumper turned to soup.
