Default 1/8 Mile Time Slips / Wed.12-03

Test & Tune night at the TX. Speedway. Someone tell this idiot how to scan the time slips and get them on here & I will. So I will do it like this, I had TRAC off on all passes, first pass in Drive, spun the tires off the line, second & third pass in Auto Stick and let the computor do the work. REAL Bad wheel hop off the line in auto stick, had to let off and punch it again, last pass the best, trans in Drive, no wheel hop. Someone do the math to equate to 1/4 mile?

1ST. Pass________2Nd. Pass________3Rd. Pass________4Th.

I'm guessing on your best pass you would have run a 14.80 or so at around 93-94 MPH

THANKS FOR THE REPLY, I COULD LIVE WITH THOSE NUMBERS. But I am going back and play with tire pressure this time.

For stock tires on both the GT and the SRT4...24 to 25 PSI seems to be the magic number from what I've seen posted. The rears can be pumped up to 45-50 PSI for less rolling resistance
Woops, just saw your running a different brand tire...

Couldn't get a Dak. R/T I had to stick either, dropped the pressure down to 26 lb. and it worked better. I want to try this again.

RodRun - I had twoDak R/Ts: a 98 Black CC and a SY 99RC. The best single mod I did on those was 28x11.5x15 Drag Slicks on 15x8 Dakota rims. I plan on the same for this car now to get the 60' times under 2.00.
Based on your best time, with it's 60', and what I ran last night, I would guess yourbest in the 1/4 with your current tires at 14.8, maybe a 14.7 @ 93-94. I ran a 14.77 @ 92.49 last night on stock tires with a 2.218 60'.

Itake it from your 60' times you are having traction problems like myself and others.I'm looking into slicks to cure it.

Great times! I did 3 1/8 mile runs last Summer while I was on vacation (it started raining so they closed the track or I would've ran more). My best time was 10.3, which seems much slower than you guys. Mine is basically stock, K&N airfilter, no silencers and Mopar BOV. I know I could get better times now that I've had the PCM replaced. Guess I'll have to wait until next Summer to find out for sure how much more performance comes with the new PCM.

DT, your profile does not say what part of the country you are in. (?)
