Default GT Engine Mod. Your comments...

Hello members!

Here is my list of proposed modification for my 2003 GT. Looking for your comments and suggestions.
1. Mopar Stage 1
2. Lash Adjusters Mopar
3. BOV Needswings Caliber SRT-4 BOV HKS SSQV III with hard pipes Teflon Coated 304ss
4. Intake Manifold
5. BTG-Turbo Cold Intake Manifold
6.Mopar Carbofiber Valve Cover
7. Antisway Bar stage 1 front 27 mm
8. NGK Iridium Spark plugs LZTR6AIX-13
9. Plug Wires
10. MSD Ignition Coil 4-Tower flat terminal
11. AMX - Needswings Lower Intercooler Pipe Kit 6061 Aluminum Silver
12. AMX - Needswings Upper Intercooler Pipe Kit 6061 Aluminum Silver
13. Throttle Body Spacer Airraid 300-568
14. 18V Mini-VIP Ignition Booster
15. Custom-made exhaust system
16. Mopar wastergate

I have couple questions:

From discussions on the forums here I understood i have to buy new Stage 1 PCM. I found the one here Performance auto parts & aftermarket auto accessories for your car, specializing SRT4, Crossfire SRT6, SLK32, C32 AMG, VR-4 (Mopar Stage 1 CSRT-4 Turbo Upgrade PCM). Is it right part?

I saw a lot of talks about AMX1397 pipes. Where can i buy them? I was not able to find them on the Internet.

And one more thing - i saw someone mentioned about website γƒͺフォーγƒ*γ‚’εŒ—εŒΊγ§θ€ƒγˆγ‚‹γͺらエコムγ‚¦γ‚Ή However, this japanese website. How can i find products from this company or maybe you have contact person's email?

Thanks and I would be glad to hear from you, guys, your comment or recommendations.

1. Mopar Stage 1 good if you can find one. or get a DSP
2. Lash Adjusters Mopar dont need them
3. BOV Needswings Caliber SRT-4 BOV HKS SSQV III with hard pipes Teflon Coated 304ss just buy the AMX hard pipe kit from needswings
4. Composite Intake Manifold yes
5. BTG-Turbo Cold Intake Manifold have no idea where your looking at
6.Mopar Carbofiber Valve Cover great for looks but wont be really visable because its under the intake manifold
7. Antisway Bar stage 1 front 27 mm
8. NGK Iridium Spark plugs LZTR6AIX-13 or NGK 4306s their cheaper and work just as good in a comparson test.
9. Plug Wires yes almost any upgraded spark plug wires, stock ones are junk
10. MSD Ignition Coil 4-Tower flat terminal MSD sucks. there is nothing wrong with the stock coil.
11. AMX - Needswings Lower Intercooler Pipe Kit 6061 Aluminum Silver Yes
12. AMX - Needswings Upper Intercooler Pipe Kit 6061 Aluminum Silver Yes
13. Throttle Body Spacer Airraid 300-568 no need
14. 18V Mini-VIP Ignition Booster no need
15. Custom-made exhaust system in a 2.5 inch or get a needswings downpipe with electric cutout
16. Mopar stage 2 wastergate or AGP or foward motion, or kenitc

I have couple questions:

I found the one here Performance auto parts & aftermarket auto accessories for your car, specializing SRT4, Crossfire SRT6, SLK32, C32 AMG, VR-4 (Mopar Stage 1 CSRT-4 Turbo Upgrade PCM). Is it right part? when getting a Stage 1 pcm for the PT you need to get it for that year and for the manual or auto tranny that you have. each one is different.

I saw a lot of talks about AMX1397 pipes. Where can i buy them? I was not able to find them on the Internet. you just listed them as #11 and #12 above.

And one more thing - i saw someone mentioned about website リフォーãƒ*を北区で考えるならエコムã‚¦ã‚¹ However, this japanese website. How can i find products from this company or maybe you have contact person's email?

added some comments

also dont look at parts from the caliber they wont fit its a different engine and setup.
if you looking for stuff to add almost all the parts from the Neon SRT will bolt to the PTs engine except rear suspention, PCM, and intercooler kits

^^^^^ Completely agree - and the Stage 1 has to be programmed with your vehicle's VIN....
The trhottle body spacer does nothing.
Do NOT buy stock ignition wires, they are crap - the Mopar performance wires are okay.
Gap plugs (carefully) at 0.040.
Be sure to use synthetic oil.
The BTG intake is good - didn't know they made one for turbo....
More aftermarket coils have failed than stock ones.
If you are upgrading front sway bar, you should add a rear sway bar.

I would also put in a strut tower bar.

#1. www.mopartsracing.com/parts/4cylindr.html#PT That kit includes PCM, fuel injectors and gasket. What does DSP mean? Any link to a store?

#3. You mean BOV HKS SSQV III does not fit to my GT, doesn't it?

#5. PT Cruiser Intakes - GT-Turbo - BTG

#13 and #14 Why do you think that i don't need a throttle body spacer?

Thanks

Throttle body spacer is of no use with Multipoint fuel injection - it made sense with carburetors.

DSP = DiabloSport Predator

There are two manufactures of sway bars with different characteristics:
1. Mopar (front 27mm rear 19 mm)
2. Einbach (front 25mm rear 22 mm)

Which one is better?

What do you think about BOV Needswings Caliber SRT-4 BOV HKS SSQV III with hard pipes Teflon Coated 304ss. I want to use it instead of Mopar BOV. I heard needswings is better

Thanks

You ask good questions, I do not have all the answers...

Try
PTCrew.com - Learn it or Burn it.
They are more into turbo performance there - a lot of us are on both, but many there don't come here....

I found the one here Performance auto parts & aftermarket auto accessories for your car, specializing SRT4, Crossfire SRT6, SLK32, C32 AMG, VR-4 (Mopar Stage 1 CSRT-4 This is once again, for the caliber SRT4, a used PCM works just as well. I bought mine on ebay used and it was sent into flight systems for a reprogram.Turbo Upgrade PCM). Is it right part?

I saw a lot of talks about AMX1397 pipes. Where can i buy them? I was not able to find them on the Internet.

The Items in RED are the same things just the first one is for a caliber SRT4 and will not fit the PT.

You are right. My bad. I made a mistake by choosing wrong category at needswings. So, i hope it is correct - i buy only HKS Super SQV III BOV.

Which one of the sway bars is better:
1. Mopar (front 27mm rear 19 mm)
2. Einbach (front 25mm rear 22 mm)
