Default No power

05 PT
checked fuel pressure,exhaust,timming all ok
New to turbos when does the turbo kick in?
When and what line does vacum actuate the turbo.
Sure could use some help on this one.

Turbo kicks in, a little, as early as 1500rpm, and gets stronger from there, but feels strongest at about 2400+rpm. The turbo is activated by exhaust pressure. When the exhaust pressure gets strong enough to spin the propeller of the turbo, it kicks in.
If there is no engine light, or no misfire, then you should start by checking for boost leaks.

There is a sticker under the hood that tells you what vacuum lines goes where.

Sounds like an intercooler hose may have come off or leaking enough to affect performance. The crappy worm drive hose clamps on the IC hoses should be replaced with T bolt clamps. All vaccum lines should be zip tied to prevent leaks.

Agree, one of the presure lines in the turbo/intercooler/throttlebody assembly probably has a leak, just start at the turbo and tighten all of the clamps. You may even find one that has blown off. Better yet, replace them with T-bolt clamps.
