Default What a difference!!!

Well, today i thought i'd bite the bullet and take off my beloved twin sidepipe exhaust for the winter, so it doesn't loose it's shine. After re-installing my stock exhaust i went out for a drive...all i have to say is what a difference a good exhaust makes. It is as though the engine is being choked from breathing. Throttle response is much lower, it's not making boost as fast, all in all it feels much slower.

Keep in mind though that i do not run mufflers on my side pipes, only the cat. On my older N/A cars this would not have made a big difference, but it seems all the stories of exhausts producing big power on turbo cars are TRUE!!!!!! If you doubt, take off your cat-back and try the stock one again, and you will expereience a new world of slow. It's probably more noticeable with raised boost too. [8)]

Ya, I noticed a difference just with my BTG. Our cams have overlap, so a higher velocity exhaust should help pull some of the intake into the cylinder and keep things flowing more smoothly--especially with higher boost pressure, I would think.
