Default power surge

I get a power cut at about 3000-3500rpm and once I get past that rpm range the car comes alive --- is this normal or should I be concerned

I have noticed also a Power loss in my car but I think is the F#%^&*% self learning computer... If I am Driving hard for a few days, when I drive softly, The tranny shifts like an old car... after a few drives slowly, it comes back to life... Also, IN autostick mode, it won't let me shift to 4th until it is close to redline... I have Stage one in my PT...

Ease up on the throttle before trying to shift to 4th...it appears to be by design. (The stock PCM is like that also.)

What I don't understand is that all the other gears, it shifts when I what... The problem is when I shift to fourth..

I believe 4th is considered overdrive, not "4th gear". Beats me why the programming for it would be different, unless it's not spaced as close as the other gears are.. I guess technicaly, overdrive is generaly not used for "spirited" driving (?), but for increasing freeway gas mileage?

Most OD bands are relatively skinny and not designed to take the stresses of racing. You can blow the OD pretty easy. Most trips down the track end in 3rd with OD locked out, although I did get a chance to run an auto PT's at the Block Party.
