Well see there that makes sense. I sat and read and watched this place a long time before I ordered my Stage 1. I have been looking for wires for a long time. And the study goes on.
I'll be in touch.

The plugs that are being sold are not correct for the car thus the socket and plug wires. I bought a set back in april .There is a lot of info from Bob Stockum and MX5 on these plugs. The mfg Denso was close to releasing the correct plug. I would be very leary of this application as I have also talked with the supplier u are gettin these from.I do feel the supplier has gone and done a lot of work to make this application work I just wouldntwant to be the first .

Ya, looks Mickey Moused to me--too much to go wrong.

Your spark is enough or it isn't. Re: "less resistance": an bigger spark than a sufficient spark will make absolutely no difference whatsoever.

All right!! I have been doing lots of home work on this subject, adding what I have read, my years of experince, and takeing information from the plugs companys and this post boils down to this. (for me anyway) Rolo, you dont know squat, I will not be the first to use this Co. product, I may be the first on here. (someone's got to do it)
There is alot of ways to achieve what we are after in this post, 1.- bigger wires & hotter coil pack or 2.- bigger wires and a better plug. If this product turns out to be a mistake, I will be the first to let you all know. If nothing else this company has impressed me with there customer service, and that my PT friends is very rare these days.

I've been reading several posts on this. Although I understand originally, the Iridium plugs would not fit properly, but are now sold in a kit, which includes wires & a tool to remove them. So as I can figure now, there is no problem using them in the PT. Correct?

For those who have them installed, have you dyno'd before and after the iridium plugs to do a comparison? Have you seen any improvements of having them installed? About how old is your PT and about how many miles?

Iridium plugs were shown by dyno test to make more HP on a blown mustang, per one of the mustang rags, but not a lot. I would have to agree with MX-5 that the stock plugs are the best for this application just by virtue of the cost of buying a "kit" to make them install-able on the PT. I just don't think it is worth the $100 for couple extra HP.

I recently took my stock Champions and dropped the gap from .050 to .042 and installed a set of Magnecor 8.5mm wires. I dropped the gap after reading numerous posts on several forums about this. Anyway, the end result seems to be a noticeably stronger pull at freeway speeds. That jump from about 60mph to 90mph is just awesome! I'm happy with it, but I'm willing to give a set of NGK plugs a shot to see how they compare. Other than that, I'm not doing anything else to the ignition system.

I'll stick with MX-5 on this one. Seems like to much risks for a relatively little gain. Besides, Murphy's Laws are still with us! And boy is this a situation where Murphy loves to intervene.
