Just looked up the dyno figures from the Mopar S1 kit and it looks like we drop 55 HP from peak at 6000 RPM (drops from 235 HP @ 5200 RPM down to 180 HP @ 6000 RPM). Until someone figures how to override the speed limiter, it will take an engineer type to figure if our aero-drag can be overcome with only 180 HP at speeds above 130 MPH. On the other hand maybe one of our new econo-turbos (180 HP Turbo-Lite)will try and see if they can reach the 130 MPH limit??? We all know the GT's get there...FAST

i'm going out a limb here, but how does the PCM know the speed? Could a person "clamp" the speed input to the PCM (if there is one) in the same manner folks do with the MAP sensors? Set it so the PCM never thinks you're running over 110mph or something?
Transmission output speed sensor?

But, what ramifications would result in tampering with sensor inputs to the PCM?

What we really need is a copy of the PCM's code, PCM schematic, and a DRB scan tool. Change the limiter values to higher ones (130 MPH to 200 MPH, 6000 RPM to 8000 RPM, etc.) to make the PCM a "team player" hehe.

the srt guys run a diode at the MAP sensor, any signals above X volts are filtered out.. so lets say in this case the speed sensor sends a signal between 1-5 volts.. the pcm might figure any signal over 4.94 volts is where the speed should be limited. So you could hook up a diode that prevents any signal over 4.9 from getting to the pcm. the speedo would probably stop responding as well at that point as well?
Like i said though, I have NO CLUE if the speed limiter uses any sort of sensor like this.. but the MAP and TIP sensors can be fooled this way into never sending an overboost signal to the PCM
