I just installed the resonator and "B" pipe to my BTG Stage 1 axle-back muffler to tone down the volume and 70mph/2500rpm drone. I was wondering if anyone who has this setup (in effect the BTG cat back single exhaust) can comment on how well the resonator fits into the OEM channel? My GT is now lowere 1-1/2" in back if that might matter. I didn't really look at the OEM pipe before removing it to compare. Obviously, the resonator is much larger in diameter than the OEM pipe, and the rear of the system is aligned/tucked nicely into the OEM channel, so maybe this is just how it sits. I'm wondering if I should try to re-align the system to try to get the resonator up higher, although the cat pipe seems to start out low to begin with. Actually, my alignment seems to be better than the pic posted on the PT-Tuning website.
Any comments? |

I have the BTG cat/back duals and they fit like a glove. I was a little concerned by the lack of a hanger where the resonator ties into the converter but the stock setup did not have a hanger there either so I guess it is ok.
