Default Got my BTG cat/back duals today

Yeah, these are pretty sweet indeed! Nice little rumble at idle, definite throaty roar under acceleration, but barely noticeable cruisin' at 80mph. And this is without the optional silencers installed. One thing that really got me though, and maybe someone can confirm or dispell my suspicions, but I am hearing the turbo whine under heavy acceleration now? I mean, when I tromp on this baby now there is not only the new and improved exhaust tone, but it is accompanied by a very high pitched, single tone whine when my size 12s are firmly planted. Is this, in fact, the turbo I'm now hearing? If so, why would a new exhaust let this come out?

By the way, I picked up the parts at PT Tuning and went to their local preferred installer, Pacific Supreme Muffler, for the install. Everybody was very friendly and efficient. A great experience all around! PT Tuning will definitely be getting more of my $$ in the future.

Since I live in SoCal I was able to pick up the exhaust itself directly from PT Tuning. Maier set me up with Pacific Supreme Muffler as their preferred installer, which meant I even paid PT Tuning for the install and Pac Supreme then just billed them. Very nice. Install was $175 but they were VERY picky about making sure everything was done right, visually balanced and clean. I was impressed with how picky they were about cleaning up the edges of the passenger side cutout and they even sprayed and wiped down the chrome tips before backing it out of the bay. Lifetime warranty on the install too, so good experience all around.

I have had the BTG duals for almost a year, it is the real deal! I have found that the exhaust tone is controllable and is more than livable. My son noticed a little bit of flame from the exhaust and a noticable "pop" on decelleration before the computer had time to learn the lowered back pressure. This may give the stage kits some added punch. Have fun, and enjoy the sound.

Kirby, what can you tell me about the high pitched whine I get when I jump on it? Is this the turbo I'm hearing now, 'cause it sure wasn't there before. And what's the deal with the computer having to learn the mod? I've read about disconnecting the battery for a short time to reset things but didn't do this after the exhaust install. Thinking about a cold air intake soon....should I do anything then? Geez, I have so much to learn (feelin' like I don't know nuttin')
