My questions are:

Will the O2 housings and DP's for the SRT fit the GT?
Scott, the O2 housings are the same. The DP is kind of sort of the same. It will bolt right up to the O2 housing but you will be left with about a 3" gap between the DP and rest of the exhaust.

I would have been very interested in a single 3" system if I hadn't just installed the Mopar/Borla one.

Thanks for showing interest in the GT as we have a serious shortage of vendors making parts for our cars.

Aloha,
Mark

I would like to see a 2.5 or 3in version of the Srt exhaust for the PT. I really don't like all the bends and crap that the Mopar exhaust for the PT has.

Im very interested in creating a turbo-back system. I was going to take it to my local speed shop to quote me a price this weekend...

I wanted to run from the turbo to a high flow cat, through 2 resonators out.

My GT would be a willing test subject is the above could be met...and a bit of a discount included. (Im in North Florida)

Also what material do you plan on using?

Otherwise Im heading to Stage 6 this weekend [8)]

I would jump on a turbo back 3 inch dual system as long as I could still get at my spare tire.

Thanks for the offer, but would really perfer a local ATL car. I work on the weekends and have Mon-Thurs off so I need someone who can stop by in the evenings.

Cool guys thanks for the input. This is the kind of stuff I was looking for.

Looks like one of the big concerns would be the spare tire. That's kinda why the single tip exhaust is the first developmant task, then work up to the dual tip if there's interest. The dual tips cost more too, more bends, etc.

Seems like there's interest in a 2.5 system, but there's all ready people who make them and I believe they flow really well. With a dp and O2 housing, they'll do a good job of supporting the max output of the current turbo.

Think I'll start off by prototyping a dp specifically for the GT with 2.5 inch systems, then look at developing an exhaust.

Do the Borla and other systems have the 2.25 inch bottle neck in the first part of the intermediate pipe? The ones for the SRT do, so I make a dp that connects to the 2.5 inch section, past the bottle neck. If you can operate a hack saw, you can install this DP.

Thanks guys keep the good info coming.

I would be all for a single pipe 2.5" turbo back system even though I love side exiting exhausts!

Since I am going with a 2.5 catback exhaust a 2.5 turbo back sounds good.

Does anyone have a stock cat or exhaust system they could send me?

I need one to make a jig for a prototype down pipe/exhaust system.

This probably would have worked, but you are a few days too late:
