Looked for vendor/advertising rules but couldn't find any, so if I'm stepping on any toes, please accpt my apologies, and fell free to move/delete this post as necassary.
I'm looking for feedback on producing a 3 inch turbo back system for the GT. Currently I produce O2 housings, DP's and a modified Borla exhaust for the SRT-4. Also devloping a high flow but quiet 3 inch turbo back system for the SRT, and was approached by a couple of people about producing a system for the GT. My questions are: Will the O2 housings and DP's for the SRT fit the GT? Is there interst in a single tip,3 inch turbo back system for $600? Is there interest for a dual tip system for $700? My company is MAXX Fabrication and my site is www.maxxfab.com. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I really want to know what you guys think. Thanks for your time. |

Personally, I don't think anyone makes a better CAT/testpipe and down pipe than ATP! The stock turbo outlet is only 2" so does a larger o2 housing actually make a difference? I think a larger CAT and down pipe will have the greatest effect.
I tried to access your web site but it says under construction? Also, Welcome to the Forum, I think I have read some of you posts on the SRT forum, if your the same Scott, great posts! edit; Re- thought my opinion on exhaust size. |

1 3" would be good for those of us who are shooting for over 300, or are considering a big turbo upgrade. A 3" dp, high flow cat, and straight piping with a long style tip would be nice. When i say long style, it would be reminiscent of the "Boom tubes" that the 5.0/Camaro/Firebird guys used to use all the time. One hting you may look at is pipe clearance on a lowered or slammed vehicle to make sure the 3" wont hit on the rear axle.

Punch,
He must have got my e-mail also. He needs to get 10 together for a minm. from his pipe supplier. Ok guys we got a group buy working here. "I was just asked the same thing by another interested party. I don't have anything for the PT cruiser at this time, but it looks like I may in the future. Seems there is interest from you guys, but no one is really producing anything. I need to find a local ATL car to be a prototype car. Once thats done, it would be 3-6 weeks to produce the system. Would there be enough interest to sell 10 systems? Thats the minimum order my tubing manufacturer will do. Thanks. Look fwd to hearing what you have to say. Scott"

BTW I would like a 2.5 from the cat back, single and be able to use my btg muffler. I too think it is cat and down pipe as the blocking point.

the rule is hp=exhaust size. 300hp 3" exhaust 250 hp 2 1/2 exhaust this is for any turbo car.
look at the factory 215hp could be 2" or 2 1/4 exhaust.
