Default Diablo Predator Tune- Should I?

2005 PT S4 Dream Cruiser: KW Element 1 Coilovers (3" lowering), Freedom Design Strut Bar, Dunlop Signature Sports (she now sticks like she is on rails!), K&N CAI System with outside air routed directly at the filter, 3" CatBack System, more performance mods to follow (plugs & wires, etc.) [/B]
I don't know what the stock tune is but we only get 91 octane here so should I invest in a Predator to re-tune?

Then it all depends how far you want to play with it...a Stage 1 is a plug and play and you can use 91 octane...

The DSP gives you the ability to tune it yourself or run the included 'canned' tune for stock to mildly modified PT Turbo's.

The question is, how far into this do you want to go?

My advice, since you're 5-speed you can just go with a DSP. They can be found used for around 210-230, and new for around 265-285.

So the DSP Stage 1 canned tune sounds like the best thing for her. If anyone knows of an available used one, I would appreciate a post or email. Many thanks to all who helped me muddle through this.

Glad you're happy with it seeing as how you're posting this on every other Turbo thread out there.

It'll be up to the buyer of course to determine whether the intune is what they want, the Trinity, or the cost-effective DSP hand-held.

I'm still undecided. I'll have time. I need to save up money for the next round. I'm just reading what others are saying. I'm pretty happy with the power it has. any more will just be for fun. Tightening things up and getting better brakes first. Still, if a plug in device gives that much bang for the buck....

I'd just started reading about the predator and then find it's discontinued. putting things in, I'd like to do in the right order since I have to buy them as I go. whether I need a new cpu, injectors, should you just do the turbo first? lots of options but hate just tossing money into a gimmick when a few bucks more gets way better
