Default 3 inch dp for GT in development..............

Hey guys.

Just thought you'd like to know I struck a deal with someone to get a full exhaust system to use as a blueprint for a prototype.

He's getting a good deal on a prototype stainless dp that goes on the Borla/Mopar exhaust, past the 2.5 bottleneck, in exchange for his full system. We'll see how things go.

Should have some news on how it all works out in 1 to 2 weeks.

Not that it should matter but why the borla/ MoPar system, 2.5" O.D. into a muffler and out 1 3/4" O.D. tail pipes?(octy pipes) Do you know if this will hook up to the ATR PT exhaust? or any other 2.5" single outlet exhaust?
I have to say thanks for at least making one for the PT, Thanks!

P.S. Are you still running your dual solenoid/shuttle valve set up with you BC? How is it working? You should share this with the PT crowd.

Scott,

Again I thank you for your efforts on this! Just a question or two.

Are you working on from the turbo to behind the cat, or from the O2 pipe back to after the cat, and then from there back? I really would like to see the down pipe and cat end at stock length. I say this as I saw the SRT-4 one someone did here and to get to stock length he had to splice. I know, as he did, that a coupling would clean it up, and it was no big deal but I would want my options open to use all or part of your system.

And it is stainless right?

TIA

Sorry for not getting back to answer the questions quickly.

This dp should work with any aftermarket system that has a similar bottle neck (2.25 stock dp to 2.5) as the Borla. Need to verfy it though.

I picked the Mopar because it's a popular cat back.

The dp in developmant will go from the O2 housing to the end of the stock cat. All you will have to do is cut off the bottle neck in the Borla (hack saw will work fine) and install the dp.

It will be avail in aluminized or stainless, with or without cat, and extra O2 bungs if needed.

Any yes I'm still running the automatic dual stage boost controller. Dynoed at 267 hp and 304 tq with it 2 weeks ago. Mods are the above mentioned boost controller set to 18 psi, agp wga, IPP intake, my O2 housing and 3 inch turbo back, no other tuning.

I installed today my ATP 3" downpipe with cat, and let me tell you I'm not even thinking about deleting the cat at this moment.

The car above 4000 RPM feels like a completely different car, I ran a 3" tube from the dp all the way to the axle where it connects with a BTG axle-back.

It sounds just like an SRT-4 and it pulls like crazy now, very happy with my newest mod.

I am loving it.. Keep up the good ideas and lets get some products that are made for our cars.. I will support new products like this 100%.. please keep $ in mind though when you are selling it.. please dont think that it's worth $400 like some people do when making specialty stuff for our cars.. some pictures would be nice.. some dyno results for the finall product would also be nice..
