Default Speed limiter - can't remove using Predator

Hi,

i'm driving a 03' GT HO, 5-speed using a custom (Predator) tune. Only other modifications i did was a K&N Typhoon Kit. Rev limiter is set to 6500 and is working.

My problem is: the speed limiter is still active. It stops the GT softly at about 118 mph, although the speed limiter is set to 190 mph. Mike from Diablosport is a bit clueless.

Anybody had a similar problem?

I'd say, whoever gave you that tune messed up on that specific parameter.

Try the canned 93OCT tune that's pre-loaded on the Diablosport, and test it.

I really hope you're not just going around speeding everywhere though. With your simple bolt-on, I assume you are since you wouldn't trap anwhere close to 105mph

PS If you said custom as in the 93OCT tune itself, just say canned or 93OCT tune. And again, if it is the canned tune I'd try loading the STOCK tune and reloading the canned tune again. Also make sure your hand-held is up to date.

Soon as I update my DSP I'll do a highway pull. I've been to 123 in it, on an abandoned airstrip, but almost crashed trying to stop before ending up in the trees at the end...lol...

No, the parameters are ok, double-checked by Mike from diablosport. The tune installed is made especially for my GT. Had no luck with the 93OCT or stock-tune either. I meant 190mph, as this is the max value in the speed limiter. Of course it is not able to reach 200 mph. But with my setup, it should do more than 125 mph. The Predator 7134 is up to date and I'm driving a European GT using a 2,5" catback, NGK-sparks & Magnecore race wires & optimized intake.

If i like to drive 200 mph, I would use a Hayabuza, not a PT with crappy brakes ...

Hopefully you are doing this way out in the boonies where NOBODY else is around. If not here's hoping you get caught. Then you will find out it really isn't worth it. My buddy got caught doing 130 mph and by the time he paid the lawyer and court fines he had to sell his car to pay for it all. Now he drives a slow Honda. Too funny. Flame suit on for idiots wanting to flame.

Keep me posted if you got this fix! I will be getting a Tuner soon and one of the things I want to do is kill that speed limiter!
