Default K&N Intake Question

Does anyone know - - K&N's Air Induction systems available are:

57-1531 FIPK (Legal)
63-1063 Aircharger (Not Legal)

If you look at the parts sheet and installation instructions on their site, both products seem to be the same to me.

Does anyone know what the differences are, if any. There must be something that makes one legal and the other not.

I asked K&N and they haven't responded. [:I]

you pretty much answered your own question mich, the 57-1531 comes with the CARB sticker (50 state legal) and 63-1063 no sticker, off road use only.

I have the aircharger version. At the time I bought it they had no FIPK. I'm guessing it's the same unit, but was called aircharger until approved. Now it's a FIPK. Whatever...

Dragula - your exactly right. Just heard from K&N and they said they are the same.

How do you like your system?
