Default Dyno Results for Hahn Turbo PT!!

After driving the car for 1 year with the turbo setup I finally made it to the dyno today.
Little history:
Within the past few weeks I put in a Wideband O2 sensor for constant monitoring during boost, GT intake, bored TB, and 30 lb injectors.

With static FP set to ~25 it idled a little rough but that is the # that seemed to work best.
My goal for going to the dyno was to:
1. get the AFR curve in a good/safe range
2. see if we can dial out some of the overlap and get it to idle better.

Both were accomplished!

OK now the results:
17 PULLS!! yes that is correct 17!
9-10psi
2nd pull had me very safe on the AFR (very rich)
184.39 HP 152.85 TQ

Once we got the AFR on (~12:1) we were closer to 200 HP

Next was adjusting the cam gears. Nick Riley from NRGY HEADS did those adjustment, he has done this MANY times so I was able to learn from him. I was in charge of the Fuel.

Run 11
229.29 HP 258.40 TQ

We tryed turning the boost up to ~11-12 and experience some break up. Ended up pulling close to 240 HP but it was unsafe at those levels so turned it back down.

Car idles nicely now with the 30lber's. I think they are capable of handling close to 300 HP.
I have the Crane ignition w/timing retard which needs to be installed next. Then I can get that boost up to 12-14 and put some real #'s down.

The #'s I posted were peak. The goal is to make more power accross the board and not shoot for seeing the highest #'s.

I would say for the relatively low boost levels I was running, the power is very respectable. There is certainly a LOT more in this minivan!

BTW the little method I used for adjusting FP,( I shared with Bob and OC Cruzer, AL) at higher boost levels worked flawlessy. When I learn how to post the charts you will see that AFR went almost immediately to 12:1 and stayed very steady throughout the run. This was from ~40mph-112mph at ~55psi WOT.

Nice numbers Ant! Are you going to take it to the track and give us some 1/4 mile times anytime soon?[8)]

I plan on getting to the track fairly soon. They do Fri. & Sat night races every week, but I work those nights. I will have to take a night off to play. It is perfect track weather here in AZ now.
I have not raced at a track for about 13 or 14 years so I will be plenty rusty. Should be interesting though![8)]

Thats great. I didnt know we had cam gears that were that adjustable. Most stock cam gears are just bolted on.. you can pull skip one tooth but thats a lot.. how did you do it? Also where did you get your TB bored out? Do you think it helped you?

Thanks for the info those are some impresive #'s ADAM

Crane has had adjustable cam gears for a couple of years and I believe Ant had his throttle body bored by Bob Stockum as have a few others with n/a cruisers . The adjustable cam gears work by having slots cut into mounting holes . The drawback is to effectively use them a "dyno" provides the truest info. These gears allow precise timing for both your intake cam and exhaust cam . This isn't to say they can't be adjusted without a dyno as they have degree scales on the gears but unless the cam mfg or another rodder provides the specs then one can't effectively use them . Another drawback is that you can't use your upper timing cover ,however I think one could fab one out of sheetmetal/plexiglass with a little work.
