Default what a difference a set of plug wires make

hi all -

had some hesitation issues with highway acceleration situations - especially going up a grade. so, i replaced a second set of wires - with about 55K on them - with a msd brand.

the hesitation issues are gone and the engine runs noticeably better. way better. i highly recommend a set of these for those looking for a performance gain - especially under load.

spark plugs were changed about 3K ago, but performance gain was not noticed until the plug wires were replaced with these msds.

The title of your post said "plugs" but you said you replaced the wires. Either way, nobody, including yourself will get any extra performance from plugs or wires. What you feeling is the PT running like it should run from the factory. Apparently, the wires (or plugs) were worn enough that you were loosing performance and all you did was put it back they way it was. It would 'feel" like you gained something since you probably forgot how good it was running when the parts were new.
