Default Exhuast flow one sided

I just noticed as I was pumping gas that I see exhaust fumes coming from only one side of my dual BTG exhaust. I can feel pressure from both sides, but only see vapors out of one? I guess that might be because of the split, one side has better air flow.

My Magnaflow tends to put more exhaust to the right cause of the flow pattern. The left pipe has a C-shape piece in the muffler the shoves the gases into the left pipe. Looks fairly even most of the time though.

I have the BTG cat/back duals on my GT and they look pretty much equal.

OK I am not a dual exhaust guy.. this guy at the Chrysler event a couple months ago stood up and was all pissed off why Mopar didn't make a true dual exhaust for the non turbo pt's meaning he wanted the exhaust manifold to come off in two pairs so there would be two pipes going down the length of the car.. WTF.. There is way no need for that as I hate to say but there is no need for dual exhaust for the turbo PT.. It is cosmetic only.. I know I am going to piss a lot of you off but if you want more flow then go bigger pipe.. I do see how going out the muffler you might .. I say might get a slight more flow out of two mufflers than one.. but really you are getting a quieter sound out of two mufflers as you would one straight through design or no muffler at all.. But for some dual exhaust people this is there cup of tea. I like it when anyone puts some thought into making there car or truck different from the norm.. So for all you dual exhaust people keep doing what makes you happy..

But as for the question that is normal for most systems since the exhaust will find the less restrictive way out and that will be from one of the sides more than the other.. ADAM

To have a real dual exhaust you need to have two cats and branch the exhausts into two streams with two 02 sensors as close to the manifold as possible. And there is really no need for all this anyways! All other attmepts are just that attempts. No matter how big a pipe you put after the cat the cat will be a bottleneck as is the 02 sensor housing and downpipe to the cats.

SteelBlueGT, you are probably right but it sounds soooo much better than stock.

Exhaust will always follow the path of least restriction. I can bet that one of your pipes is longer than the other, and that the shorter pipe has more flow.

My dials are the same length on either side and have the same bends, hence equal flow [?]
