Is this when loading? Is this an error on the dsp or on the car itself?

It sounds like the DSP was not re- married from the sellers car. As long as it is still married to the original vehicle, you can't use it.

Yep. Diablo Sport, in their vast wisdom, designed the Predator to remove and save one tune from one car and load the new tune into that car. This is to prevent a single buyer from getting one Predator and passing it around to the other 100 members in the club. In order to make the Predator portable to be used in another car, the custom tune has to be removed and the original tune re-installed. If the seller didn't do that then the Predator is usless to anyone else.

^^^^ This^^^^

Try going to diablosport.com they have a forum there and would be able to troubleshoot the issue you're having.

If it is still married to the previous owner, they can reset it, for around $100.

If that were the case, you could go through the Menu on the DSP itself when plugged into the vehicle.

Look up serial/etc. somewhere along those lines, and it will say if it is paired to another vehicle by displaying a VIN.

If it's not married to another vehicle, try updating it to the latest firmware; Diablosport website has downloads for datalogging/reading and firmware upgrades.

Also, if it's still loaded on their car, tell them you want: a. Your money back or b. That they reset it by uninstalling the tune from their car.
