to do this drill about 3/4" deep with a drill set up for the tap size you want either 1/8 or 1/4. with your hole about 3/4" deep take a 1/8" drill and angle it to the inside of the manifold. now drill your small hole for the boost and vaccum to go to, then use a pipe tap and tap the hole for your fitting, done.(this needs to be done off the car and make sure you get the drill fillings out of the intake manifold.

I'm curious - why tap the manifold for a boost guage or MBC? there's a spiderweb of lines to choose from already My MBC and boost guage are currently off the TIP line at TB, but I'm going to eventually move the guage to an exisitng manifold line (it's actually a vac/boost guage anywas )

just my way of doing mime, and while testing, when i used the brake booster line it blew off the line and i had no brakes. when useing the line at the back of the manifold (PVC LINE) the oil got to the gauge. tapping the manifold gave me a better reading of vacuum and boost, compared to the line being shared with something else.
