Default P0033 Error Code

Finally got the Vert back together and running. I have a P0033 Error code and doesn't seem to be boosting. I know that that the code is the Turbo charger bypass valve circuit. But was wondering if someone could help narrow that down a bit?

All Vacuum lines and wires are connected and look good. Can't hear any vacuum leaks, etc. Could it be a bad solenoid? If so, which one?

I did a bunch of googling, but no real answers out there...

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you're still using the stock surge valve or if you're using an aftermarket BOV. Quoted from SRTForums, so take this with a grain of salt:

Quote:

P0033-SURGE VALVE SOLENOID CIRCUIT

When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0033-SURGE VALVE SOLENOID CIRCUIT

When Monitored: Ignition on or engine running. Battery voltage greater than 10 volts. Set Condition: The PCM will set the DTC if the actual state of the solenoid does not match the intended state.

Unhook a lead from the battery, unhook the connector to Blue #3 solenoid, replug connector, replug battery then test.

If the CEL comes back, check the wiring harness to Blue #3 solenoid then check the service manual for the pin outs and apply 12v to the solenoid to see if it actuates. If it doesn't...unplug the solenoid, do the delete mod on it by adding a resistor then hook your aftermarket BOV directly up to the TB (if you haven't already).

Thanks for the info. It's still all stock for now.

I did swap out the Solenoids - same error. So I guess I need to do some of that Technician stuff. :-) I'm thinking it's a wiring issue, because it throws the CEL pretty much immediately after resetting the computer.

Electrical problems are some of the most difficult to dianose. I don't envy you at all, sad to say. :P
