Is hardpipes a good mod or just for looks

I have some and still have not put them on yet. I did replace the intake one though. I feel like they will help out but just not a bang for the buck mod unless you get a deal on them. The stock air box to the turbo pipe is the main one that has a restriction. I do think they look nice, though.

Yea i agree with you on the intake pipe ive got it and it makes a difference in performance and sound

i just dont see the need for them unless you have a different FMIC kit.

i have asked in a few other threads on here and the other PT forums but never got a good answer.

what do hardpipes do for you on a PtGT?

I have all of my pipes, including the charge pipe switch out, it prevents any leaking from the rubber pipes and allows the system to hold the boost longer, and it sounds awesome too

Hardpipes on most every application are for looks. That is why for most applications from suppliers and manufactures have no IAT testing and reported results. We have actually found in many cases that some of the hard pipes kits and replacements of stock piping increase the IAT's even if not boosted and simply normal NA engine operation.
They do look and sound great though!

The only one that interests me is the inter cooler pipe if there really is a restriction there. I was hoping someone might post the Oem vs the aftermarket
