Unhappy PT Cruiser Turbo 2074 code won`t go away

Hello I have a 2005 PT Limited Auto Tranny and can`t seem to rid a 2074 code after having a 1697 code appear with it originally. I received info that helped and I appreciate it as it helped a great deal. I had the PCM re flashed and it cleared both and it looked like I was on my way, but the 2074 came back and I have replaced the map & TPS sensors yet I still have this issue. I checked for vac leaks & found none. This code is described as a manifold pressure/ TPS correlation issue or a manifold vacuum leak.

Does anyone know about this type of issue or have had it happen to them, I would really appreciate any info that may aid me in resolving this issue?

Brian

I would say to replace the gaskets that connect the upper manifold to the throttlebody and the upper manifold to the lower manifold :-)

I Thought I solved my continuous 2074 code. After all my checking for vac leaks, replacing parts etc. I read a post on here about a PT giving 4 codes and the 2074 was one of them. One of the responses was to check the tightness of the gas cap, well I`ve done that, but I never inspected it and I found a tear in the seal. Put a new one on and the ck eng lite didn`t come on after starting, although the key dance showed the 2074 code, I cleared it and I`m going to find out if that was the remedy soon. So I`ll get back as soon as I know and let anyone who reads my posts know if it fixed it, PERMANENTLY...

Well no luck on that one being what was going to resolve the 2074 code. As soon as I did a test drive the check eng lite came back on, that pesky 2074 again.

Seriously getting PO`d over this code popping up and causing the drivability to go to hades and the cruise to stop functioning. I guess I`m going to pull the intake halves off and inspect for cracks and replace the gaskets.

If anyone has any other suggestions, Please, Please let me know.

Brian

Thanks Everyone!!
