Installed the AIRAID air intake today.I had the stock box on with the silencers out and Jim's BRAND X intake pipe. With the airaid on I'm getting a sucking noise when I let off the throttle. Is this normal? If I add the mopar BOV,will it get better or worse?
Thanks for the help, Bigguigt |

That sound is normal, and the Mopar BOV will add yet another noise.

bigguigt, did you notice any SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE after installing the Airraid Intake when compared to the stock airbox/silencer removed with Jim's custom intake pipe? Thanks.

I have a Keystone single scoop waiting to get installed along with the Airraid for the GT. Also have Jim's turbo pipe as well.
Can't wait...as long as the friggin snow goes away.

PTGT, I have the Keystone dual scoop Good Hood, I am using the Airaid ram air box, and the AMX turbo 3" up pipe to airbox setup. I love it. believe it or not the turbo does spool up quicker. It seems to be quicker. I have a turboXS dual stage boost controller as well. I use a momentary actuation switch on the (autostick) shifter (hurst roll control switch) for easy & quick access. I also have the "lock On" jet fighter switch mounted in the center console between the Trac Off and the Rear Defrost switch. You'll love the Ram Air setup. Damn this car is fun to drive....

Gary04GT, I haven't had a chance to really try it out yet!WEATHER AND WORK!!! It was really sluggish for the first couple of miles, but that was due to me disconnecting the battery as per AIRAID instructions.I don't think it's really neccesary. put on some new sneakers too,TOYO T1S 215 50 17, As soon as spring shows up I'll let you know.
