Default Piston rod bearings

I have a 05 pt/gt turbo.and I am having to put a piston in it.
I got some bearing from a motor rebulder comp.and they
Didn't have the hole in the middle like my old ones did.
Does this hole have to be there?
The rebuilders said it did not.

Default Re: Piston rod bearings

no. the oil comes from the hole in the crankshaft, so it does not need to pass through the connecting rod bearing. the main bearings need holes in them, but not the connecting rod bearings. make sense?
