Default Misfire at Idle and P0302 code

Have a 2008 Limited PT with the Turbo Lite. It is throwing a P0302 code and also now if I stop at a light for more than 60 seconds, the check engine light starts blinking. When I take off and drive for a bit, the blinking light goes off but the code light is still on.

Here is what I have done so far, still getting all the same lights though. I figured someone might have run into this before?

New Champion Copper Plugs, New Ignition Wires, New Coil, New Cam Position Sensor (got that code also but it seems OK now), replaced upper intake gasket, PCV Valve and hose. I tried to find any vacuum leaks to no avail.

I've been told you can swap plugs and wires without taking off the upper intake of the turbo engine. If you can, Swap the No#2 plug and wire with another, clear the fault code and see if it comes back with the same P0302. If it does, the problem could be internal or maybe a bad injector.

Thanks Crewzin, I did try that last week with no change. Still looking for an answer.

Was working on the PT again today and found the downpipe (?) from the air cleaner to the turbo is split open right by the turbo. Anyone have one or know where I can get one quick?

Also found a vacuum line from the turbo that went to a "T" and one end of the "T" had a right angle fitting that was open to atmosphere?

A compression check could rule out a valve issue. Seen some on ebay a while back. Also check with bubba 1952 He was selling some parts.

OK, after cleaning the injectors, putting in new injector O Rings and changing the lower intake gasket, car runs smooth as silk and no more engine lights/codes. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks Crewzin and the rest of the people who gave me suggestions.

Oh, and I found the air cleaner to Turbo hose I needed in my garage! I had put in an AMX Hard Pipe in my 2003 GT and still had my original hose. Just took some digging to find it after all these years.

hey....i had the same problem and the dealer switched out the plugs and wires and ruled out everything but a valve job.....at 120,000 miles. yeesh. this is after having the engine practically rebuilt at 66,000 miles.
im so done with putting money in this car. the body and and interior is still nice (its a 2004) should I junk it, sell it as is, or fix it and try to sell it? Lord have mercy!
